So, the previous owner(s) modded the front and maybe other body parts. The VIN is true, so whatever it says is what came from the factory. The fogs and daytime lights look like my neighbor's 2011 E350.

That is definitely not the hood, grill, and fascia from a “facelift” C250 luxury. The luxury models have a plain grille, a tri-star hood ornament, and led bar fog/running lamps. But if the VIN comes back as a luxury, then that’s what it started life as.
You mentioned the engine. You should have a 1.8 L I-4 Turbo known as the M271 EVO. If you don’t, then the previous owner did some serious swapping. That doesn’t make it bad, it just makes it hard to get the right parts (as you know).
Also, the C250 luxury had 225/45R17 tires on 17 x 7.5 rims on all 4 corners. The sport models could have staggered 17” or 18” wheels and tires of different sizes.
Pop the hood and take a picture of what’s underneath. Also send the VIN. Maybe we can help.

Your car came from the factory with a 2.5 liter V6 (272) engine. It also has 955 EQUIPMENT PACKAGE ELEGANCE which I'm not sure what it includes.
Honestly, it's a nice looking car. Other than the parts issue, I wouldn't be worried. What parts specifically are you having problems with?
