I replaced 2 upper control arms and the front struts on my 2012 C250 Sport.
The front end is now riding high.
Here is a pic of the current height. I didn’t take a pic prior - so I’m wondering if anyone has a similar model and can give me some measurements for stock height/clearance?
Ground to Fender: 26 3/4” inches
Top of tire to Fender: ~2” inches
If anyone has an idea on cause that would be great. I tightened the control arms with front end loaded on the new struts.
Here are the measurements from my 2013 C250. I do have 198K miles on the car with the original components so the total height and the distance from the top of tire to the fender may be less than with newer suspension.
Ground to fender: 25 in
Top of tire to fender: ~ 1.25 in
Maybe check that the springs are fully seated in the spring perches on strut mounts and that the struts are fully seated in the fender mounts?
Here's my 2013 C250 Sport with stock AMG 18" wheels and staggered setup (Front= 225x40x18, Rear= 255x35x18). Noticed the date code on the tires? The car was purchased brand new in late 2012 and so far it has 24.8k miles on it. Everything is stock except for the OEM battery which was replaced 2 months ago.
Should have pointed out mine are non-AMG wheels 17" wheels with staggered setup (front - 225/45-17, rear - 245/40-17) so the comparison may not be valid.

You should check the tires for dry rot. 10 years is a long time. You may need to examine the inner side of the tires. I had a 2004 SL500 that I bought in 2017 and was checking under the car for something when I noticed huge cracks in the inside sidewalls. Checking with the person I bought the car from, she had the tires replaced about 6 years before. The dealer said 6-7 year is about the maximum safe age of a tire.
