No Speaker Function after Water Leak

I recently had a problem with clogged sunroof drains (fixed now) that put a good amount of water into the drivers side floor. After getting all the water out and everything dried my speakers stopped working. Thankfully that is the only thing that stopped working because of the water. Radio still works and functions and I checked all radio related fuses in both fuse boxes (under hood and in trunk). Subsequently I ran the codes and got “B15D8-14 Mute Control Short to Ground or Open”. I am assuming there is something related to this in the driver floor pan but I want to understand what I’m looking for before I go through the effort of getting the carpet pulled up. If anyone has experienced this issue or knows what is in the drivers floor pan area for speaker control it would be appreciated. I am also getting the code “U1017 MOST master reporting ring break”.

Also I did already try to investigate the floor pan area but for whatever reason I’m having a hard time popping the plastic kick plate off. If anyone knows a thread for this part being removed it would be helpful. I have previously had to pull pieces off to replace or repair with trim tools so this is not something new for me. But the plate doesn’t want to come off and it seems flimsy so I’m afraid I’m going to break it by applying more force.

You will need Xentry/DAS to run some diagnostics on the MOST ring to find out what component is out. Also, read on how the MOST system works in order to diagnose properly.

Were you able to fix this issue? I’m having the same problem now.
