Struggling to remove the blower motor

I need to replace my blower motor in my C250 2013.
I unplugged all the connector and removed the screw than pushed the tab down and rotated the unit from right to left. The tab released and turns about half an inch but the small raised vent like thing on the motor assembly is getting stuck slightly and not going anywhere.
Do I have to remove the glove compartment to get that few cm of clearance?
All the videos I looked at do not mention or show anything about the glove box.
Has anyone experienced this or dealt with this issue before?
I was hoping this to be a very straight forward jib but it does not look that way anymore.

I checked WIS and there's no reference on the blower motor. There's must be another name for it in WIS.

No need to remove the glove box. There's certainly a trick to to it, but very doable. You'll need full view of the motor as you remove it. If you're doing the final pull by touch you won't see where it's getting hung up.

Don't force it. That little snorkel just needs to get maneuvered out of the way.

@gamma300C Thanks for posting the link.

I agree and see the same thing as post #16 described. The small tab is preventing the blower motor from rotating enough to come loose, I believe, it’s the edge of the glove box. I just needed couple of cm of clearance.

I was able to remove the purple electrical connector block and had a very good view of what was blocking it from rotating. I rotated motor housing and followed the sound when it stopped turning, it was the glove box.

As poster#17 mentioned, I will loosen the 4 screws in the glove box and try again this weekend.

I recently did this.. same car, same year. You really should just loosen the glovebox. It makes the job simple, and you don't run the risk of breaking anything. You don't have to remove the entire box, just slide it forward about half an inch after loosening the screws (as above)

So loosening the glove box did the trick.
It was so straight forward once the glove box was pulled forward little bit.

Thanks all for pointing me to the right directions.
