Engine swap, and a P0040 code
I was essentially given my friends 2013 C350 that needed an engine, it was knocking badly and pulling it into my garage it threw a rod. A week later a used engine has been installed and I fired it up. Runs a little poor, it misses and stutters, found a vacuum hose I left unplugged and once plugged in, it improved a little, but there was definitely an issue. I had a P0300, random misfire, and a P0305, cylinder 5 misfire, and a P0040 code, bank1 signals swapped. Is it true that the connectors for both oxygen sensors are the same that could allow this to happen? I'm used to working on VW and Audis and the connectors are color coded and each connector is unique so you can't plug in the wrong O2 sensor. I would like to take care of this code first before I look into the misfires because it could be causing the misses. Just wanted to see if this is plausible with similar connectors because I wasn't able to look while plugging them in since it was super tight so I just did it by feel. Any help is appreciated
