I bought this gear indicator for a c250 2012 where worked a day and stopped working. No lights and gear stuck on parking. I was reading on the forum and someone said needs to be programmed at the dealer. Is this true and why worked for a while then without programming
If you have MBII you can test the unit but if you don't, I would unplug it after you unplug the battery from the car. Let it sit for 30 minutes and install it again. See if it works, but it it does not, you may need to programmed but more or less, you may have a faulty part.
