Please help
I recently had my brother replaced my battery in my 2013 C300 4Matic. Two weeks later, something drained my battery. Recharged it and a month later car starts with no problem. Yesterday I decided to clean my car and then I moved it in the driveway. 3 hours later I start the car up and it would NOT move. Put it in reverse, drive, neutral, NOTHING. When I turned off the key, I noticed a delay in engine turning off. Tried to restart, NOTHING!!!! Took the negative cable off and put it back on, car starts and transmission now works. Turn key off again, try to restart, NOTHING. WHAT IS GOING ON?????PLEASE HELP No codes or anything on the dash.

Taking the battery cable off and replacing it temporarily solves the problem. Something is reset by interrupting the electric connection. It may be a component in the drive authorization system (DAS). Maybe the ignition switch (EIS), transmission control unit (TCU), or the engine control (ECM). It will require a scan of the DAS both normal and failed to determine what’s going on.
