2009 C300 Sport

C/S button inoperable

Anyone have experience with a C/S button on a 2009 C-300 Sport that doesn't change the transmission shift profile from Comfort to Sport when pushed? It worked in years past but now when pushed there is no change from C to S mode. Trying to troubleshoot. The button is left of the gear shift. Thanks!

I think the literal button underneath might be broken

I do hope it is stuck at the S mode as that is the last year it does not revert back to C mode when you restart the vehicle. Did you pullout out the trim around the shifter to do some work? you might have pulled the wire or something. Pull it out and reinstall it. It that does not work try buying the same part on a wrecker and cross your fingers. There is no need to reprogram anything when replacing that switch so hopefully it is just a dead switch.
