Does replacing the Amp require dealer programming?

I suspect that the amp in my 2012 W204 needs replacing. Can I buy a replacement on eBay and swap it out or does it need to be programmed by a dealer or tech with the Star computer?

2014 c300 w204.080 3.5 v6
I replaced my 2014 c300 factory amp that got water damage with one from eBay and it Worked Just fine
no programming needed on the amp
