Transmission issue C220 W204

I have a 2014 c220 that selects gears just fine and drives perfectly (for a very short time). When coming to a stop and trying to set off again the car just revs and won’t move. It tries really hard to move but just won’t. It will then sporadically start driving again and fail again. This can happen whilst in drive or reverse. There are no funny noises or smells. I’ve had the car at 2 garages and both have no ideas.. Any help would be much appreciated

What transmission do you have? If you are uncertain, put your VIN into www.lastvin.com. You will get a report with your car's configuration (i.e., all assembly options) and a heading that looks like this. From that, you can tell us your transmission type.

Does turning the car off and back on fix it for a while? Have you scanned it for codes? Are the garages you've take the car to Mercedes specialists?

There are a couple of control modules in the transmission (7G-tronic) that begin to fail and will behave as you describe. The fix is a new conductor plate from the dealer (~$1500) or a conductor plate repair from Circuit Board Medics ($400 plus labor if you don't do it yourself).

Hi it is 722.9 and it is not the conductor plate I’ve had it checked. The cars behaviour doesn’t change when switched off and back on. I’ve had it at 2 transmission garages not Merc specialists and they’ve both had my car just sat there for months not doing anything with it. I’m getting error codes: transmission component slipping, gear 1 incorrect ratio, the gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping, the communication with the transmission has a malfunction and low voltage error codes.

I don't know what country you're in, but if it's the US, you can get a rebuilt 722.9 transmission for $3500 shipped.
