Out of gas...ran, now won't start

Out of gas...ran, now won't start
So had a friend who ran out of gas in the 2010 c300 yesterday. So went to help put 5 gallons in the tank, drove to gas station put enough gas in to have half a tank. When started car it ran really rough. Cut car off tried to restart and continued to run rough. Turned it off and tried again now it won't start at all. Anyone have any of same problems?

Air in the fuel lines maybe. Try priming the fuel pump, turn the key on and off(dont turn the car over) for a couple times, like 5-6. Turn the key on for a few seconds then off, repeat. see if it starts then.
I would hook my scanner up to it also.
And check fuel pump fuse/relay. Think they may be in the trunk, but not sure.
Also, have you tried pushing down on the gas pedal when trying to start it? My car wouldnt start before after getting gas, I stepped on the gas pedal and it started finally.
