My Doomed W204
Hello everyone and greetings from Egypt.
I have had a 2011 (Pre facelift) W204 C300 AMG Edition since brand new.
M272 3.0L, 7G Tronic, Adaptive Suspension, AMG Sport mode with manual mode, shifting paddles, and upgraded throttle response.
At 300,000 KM I chose to replace the short block due to efficiency degradation. And my local service center managed to find an M272 3.5L short block in almost brand new condition, with the matching gearbox and rear differential too.
It was from a W221 S350 though, so we kept all my original management electronics.
Problem is now the car performs identically as the C300 I had. I have been told I need to change the Variant coding of the ECU in order to get full power of the 3.5L (272PS>231PS).
Can anyone help direct me to how I can get the aforementioned code as the M272 C350 was never released in my country?!!!
Thank you very much for your help.
