My seat cover is ripping apart at the seam. Any DIY to fix it. Or at least prevent it from getting worse?

I went the cheap route and it has held up pretty good for over 6 months now.
I got the leather repair patch from Amazon.

Theres a few options. Can try to DIY and it probably wont look very good but at least stop it from getting worse. Can replace it, buy a new seat, or new cover, or look for used on Ebay. Or look around your area for an auto upholstery repair shop that will probably do a very good job, can remove the cushion and drop it off. Or even look online for a place you can send it in and they repair it.
