Hello everyone, intermediate shaft bearing was damaged needed replacing when removing intermediate shaft it came out with only the inside of the bearing the outer part its still stuck on the oil pan housing any ideas how to get it off?
Hi. I am replacing my bearing at this time as well. I have not removed my shaft yet, it does not come out freely. Is it a splined fitting? I have been cautious trying to get it removed, and seeing yours removed gives me hope. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. sorry i dont have a solution for you to release yours, but i typicaly would use a bit of heat on the alloy to expand releasing the steel bearing. I have heard that this area can be a bit delicate so force is not recommended. Good luck.
