What conductor plate do I have?

Hello y’all, kind of a dumb question but what conductor plate am I suppose to buy? On the plate itself, it says A003 448 03 10, which I thought was the type of plate I needed, but when I look up that said serial number, I’m being met with 5 pin plates in which I need a 4 pin plate. Am I missing something here? Or am I just not looking hard enough? My solenoids are not being registered by the esp module nor the tcm and no company seems to willing to try and fix said problems so I’m trying to find a new conductor plate that will work for my unit.
thanks yall!

How many speeds do you have? That part number is for a 722.9 7G-tronic tranny. If you plug your VIN into www.lastvin.com, it will tell you exactly what you have.

Understand that your best bet is probably taking it to the dealer because after replacing the conductor plate, it will need to be coded to work with your ECU. Unlike the older 5-speed trannies, you can't just install a new one and have it work. I had to replace one on my 2004 SL500 a few years ago and I think it ran around $1500 for everything. Not sure what it will cost you now.

That tells you which transmission you have.

Already got ahold of Mercedes and they quoted the work to be around 2800 out of door. For the year and miles on the car it doesn’t seem worth it to proceed with that. There’s Mercedes authorized shops near me who mentioned I can bring in the new and old conductor plate and they will transfer the data from the old one to the new one for a lot cheaper than what the dealer is asking. I got all that taken care of, just needed guidance on what plate I needed to order.
thanks!

You could also reach out to these people. I've used them before and they are good.

already got ahold of them a few weeks ago. They said they are able to work on solenoid codes, but only ones with a part # ending in 7332. When I asked if they could work on mine they said something along the lines of the parts wernt compatible so they wouldn’t do it. I’ve reached out to a handful of conductor plate repair services and none of them seem inclined to work on my specific plate. Oh well!

Got it! $2800 seems a bit outrageous, but whatever...

CircuitBoardMedics charged me $400 for a new (used) plate programmed to work with my car. (I may have had to pay $200 for the repair and $400 for the plate. I just don't remember.) So, you can ask them what they would charge you for a "new" plate and to transfer the coding, if they will do it.

We keep posting past each other. It's doubtful the dealer will sell you the plate by itself. I would revisit CircuitBoardMedics (and the others) and say you just want to replace the plate entirely instead of repairing it. They may have a plate that will match what you have. They list it on their site.

got off the phone with circuit board medics and they stated very boldly they are a repair service not a parts service and that their relationship with Mercedes provoked them from selling conductor plates. Oh well!

I'm finding 4 pins with that number. I know nothing about conductor plates, or what pins are. Are they the pins at the round connector?

Bummer! Sounds like they got crossways with Mercedes.
