When did the ESL issue get fixed?

When did the ESL issue get fixed?
I've just picked up a C200 for my son, which is the 2011 facelift version.
I already am dealing with the timing chain, getting replaced tomorrow.
I have found info on how to remove the roof rails to fit the peeling trim.
I'd like to know if the ESL was still an issue for the facelift version or if it was fixed by then. I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere through search, but a few others have asked the same question.

I have seen 2011 C300 YouTube videos with ESL fix..so thinking yours has the same potential ?

One of many ESL repair vid's....this one includes removing steering wheel, dash instruments which is not necessary per other sources but gives all the potential methods and shows the ESL location the most clearly.

Forgot to add that my roof trim was peeling and looked horrible so i ended up just removing all the paint completely. Now its just the matt black plastic look.

ESL:
-"Low battery voltage_=I don't use the car every day, so I have the habbit of always charging the battery before starting it.
So glad I decided to do it this way for ESL then.
Steering Lock:
However when mine failed they 1st replaced ESL(under gurantee), but that was not the issue. The issue was the steering lock motor(A dinky toy like little inferior motor was used-?) =This is way cheaper than the ESL replacement.
So make sure you know what has actually failed.
---Now the question is, is the replacement steering lock motor of a better quality and has Mercedes dumped the outsourced provider of that poor quality motor, and the replacement can be trusted to outlast most other failures or at least get to 300 000km, I mean if the gearbox(way more complicated) can last, why not this-??.
I never ever owned any vehicle that did this to me.
