My car has 200k miles don't wanna invest too much money on it nowadays. It's probably only worth $1000 on kbb. So I'm looking for cheaper alternatives for front strut assembly that anyone have installed. I would rather buy new even if off brand vs used one on ebay.

You should not make decisions about your car when it comes to what kbb values it at. Make decisions based on what it is worth to you.
I have a 2000 Ford F150 with the small V8. These engines are notorious for blowing the spark plugs out of the head because of a design flaw. There are too few threads in the head for the spark plug to hold securely. I've had two blow out on me since owning the truck used. At a couple hundred dollars to put in a Helicoil insert every time this happens, it would total the truck if the remaining six went all at once. But for my use, it would be worth it to fix since I doubt I could find a suitable replacement for $1200.

^ This. I still see mine as the $38k car I bought it for and service it as such. 16 years and 232k miles later, the formula works and is a reliable commuter for my 95mi round trip to work every day.
