Hi i made a post a few months back of having some random electrical issues after a heavy rain while driving like
a bunch of dash lights on, loss of blinkers heated seats etc. tested the prefuse box and it was fine . Someone recommended checking the Sam’s for water And my problem went away and i forgot about it . Today after a heavy rain i parked and left in my other vehicle and noticed only my tail lights were on . When i got home i checked both Sam’s for water and i noticed leaking on front and rear Sam .

On the rear Sam i see the water is coming from the push pin holes around the black trim I’ll picture below .

on the front Sam cover i see leakage from the driver windshield wiper arm .


So my questions for making this thread are

1:
im going to silicone around the push pins to stop leaks in the rear

2: for the front, can i replace the bottom cover of the windshield wiper ?? I can’t find a link to the grommet anywhere but mine is shot

 

My trunk was leaking and I replaced the pins. Very easy to do and no more leaking. the part# 0009915940

You can get the Mercedes pins which are expensive or aftermarket which i went with. Heres an example:

I found the trim piece diagram. I think the seals come with the trim, not sure they are sold seperatly.
