RaceChip GTS 5 - c250 - Anyone running this ?

Curious to know if anyone is running the RaceChip GTS 5 tune box on their c250?

If you are running one on your m271evo, do you like it? Is it worth the money?

I've been researching a bunch of different tunes and without spending $750-$1000 on a reprogrammed ecu tune, race chip is offering the highest numbers.

Let me know if you're running it on your c250 and if it's worth getting.

Also, what sensors do you tap into? Was interested to see how many "channels" this tuner is.

Thank you,
Ant

Hey everyone,

I just installed the GTS 5 black Tuner from RaceChip on my c250.

From reading online, it is going to take a few driving cycles for the cars computer to sync with the tuner.

I posted the installation on my YouTube channel for everyone to check out. I will also be posting a video of the RaceChip APP and how you can choose between the different maps and power levels.

Will report back and advise if it's worth it.

So the cheapest option is touting the highest gains? Doesn't that sound suspicious?

Hey @cvx5832, this is not the cheapest option. There are a few other tuners that are not as expensive as the race chip. I just didn’t want to flash my ECU. Personally I Would rather do a plug and play. Since RaceChip was offering the highest numbers, had good reviews, and is a German company I went with them.

Are you going to do any before/after dyno runs or 1/4-mile runs? Or get some Dragy times or something like that?

I'm definitely interested in seeing your results!

Hey @AAIIIC !

I don't have any before clips unfortunately. I was looking at getting a draggy type device. Also, wasn't planning on hitting a dyno. Not sure that there is any local to me where I live.

BUT, I definitely was planning to post a review of the tune and record some 1/4 mile runs and 0-60 and 40-90 runs. I'll probably end up getting a draggy type device.

The car is starting to show that it's learning the tune. I installed it last week Saturday and It takes some time for the car to learn the tune and sync with it.

Driving the last couple of days I've DEFINITELY noticed a power increase when getting on it. This was definitely the last piece to the puzzle for the supporting mods I've already done.

I'll post more as I drive it and hope to record a video this weekend. Planning on taking it for some rips on the New England backroads. I'll get some vids for the team 💪

Hey @AAIIIC , so I've been playing around with the tuner. I can actually turn the tune off so I'll be able to do recordings with the tune on and off.

Pretty cool with the app you can change power levels and settings on the fly. As well as turn it off so the tune is inactive and the car is at stock levels.

Hoping to record a video this weekend and upload on my YouTube.
