The saga so far... I bought a 2012 C300 that had a suspect trans.
The 2nd owner replaced the trans at an indy shop with a junkyard transmission. I bought it from the 3rd owner knowing it had some codes and according to him would go into limp mode when it got hot.
I cleaned the valve body changed the fluid according to the procedure for a 722.964 w/ the A89 (low friction) package. Most of the codes went away but one issue persisted that was a flare on the 2-3 upshift. I had the adaptations reset and it still continued.
No one in my area will rebuild this tranny, so I bought a rebuilt 722.964 from ebay.
I get the old one drained and out and start putting the new one in. Everything is going well until i try to insert the oil cooler line into the rearmost hole in the housing. the holes are different in the 2 housings even thought hey have the same part numbers on them
OLD TRANS HOUSING
A 221 274 06 10 ZGS 2712301
A 204 274 01 10 ZGS 2711501
A 204 274 02 10 ZGS 2711601
NEW TRANS HOUSING
A 221 274 06 10 ZGS
A 204 274 01 10 ZGS
A 204 274 02 10 ZGS
I'm not sure what the trailing 6 digits are from the old trans are. The new trans housing oil cooler hole is about a 1/4 inch shallower than the old trans. Are there 2 different oil cooler line sets?

What is your vehicle code? 204.??? i can link you to the diagrams if you dont already have them.
Im looking at the parts diagrams for mine and there's a bunch of different part numbers for the cooler lines. Unfortunatly they dont mention any sizes.
