plastic cover above the grille 2013 C250

how do I remove the plastic cover right behind the grille where the fresh air intake is connected i dropped a socket down there.

The socket is probably sitting on the lower bumper fascia or the splash panels. It’s easier to get the splash panels off than that cover over the radiator.

But if you don’t want to crawl under, I think this Pelican Parts pictorial has what you need in figs 5-6-7.

Thanks for that link. I had stared at that piece on my wife's C250 a while back and had no clue how to remove it. Turns out it's pretty simple!

Mine comes off fairly easily. There may be other parts to unclip at the right and left ends.
