My 2011 C350's radio, climate control, and window buttons lose power intermittently while driving. The radio screen will open/close (go on/off) repeatedly, while the climate control powers on/off repeatedly while driving. Sometimes they regain power, sometimes they don't. If the power stays off, I have to hit the dash to regain power. I went into the Engineering Menu and found the following codes:

DTCc168 Lost communication with EIS
DTCc146 Lost communication with CGW

You are now likely dealing with the factory painted GND at footwell or water intrusion in that area.

EIS is the solderless ignition key module.

At this early stage you would do well to scan the whole chassis to see what every module is reporting.

Did you resolve your issue? I'm having some similar symptoms and (while I wait for my code reader to arrive) am trying to find the potential root causes.
