Random loud timing chain after sitting for 2 weeks. Tensioner update has been done

A couple months ago I did the tensioner check valve update with the kit from fcp but recently just had a very concerning experience. The kit definitely reduced the chatter on startup but occasionally would still get it. I know the camshaft adjuster can also cause the noise, but this isn’t why I’m posting. I’ve left my car at a friends shop due to parking space constraints and it sat for about 2weeks. A few days ago I dropped by to just start it up and keep everything lubricated. When it started a god awful timing chain noise blared up like never before and the car ran like crap for an about 10s. Check engine light came up for cylinder 2 misfire, no timing codes but I know timing had to have caused the misfire. after restarting the car a few times everything is perfectly normal. Started it yesterday and no problems. I’m a bit concerned about this, in the past the car had a time it sat for many months and nothing like this happened on first startup.

do you think the tensioners might be defective or maybe it’s something else? Has this happened to any of you guys?

Did you loose something down in the cover, a piece of the guide, or was that someone else?

no, must have been someone else. I’ve had no real issues or concerns until this happened.
