I love it.
Although I hope the brakelights are higher up on the decklid
as per the pic on second row.

The announcement of the new C-class sedan is in January 07. He is delivered starting from March. But already series production started. Mercedes pays attention to highest quality.
Classic: An oval exhaust pipe left, painted door handles without chrome, no chrome around the car, no LED rear lights, no chrome shroud around the Zierteile, the TAC hone aristocracy is larger than with the others and goes from the center of the combination instrument out (probably only if no Comand were ordered). With avant-garde and Elegance the small pointer at the exteriors of the Tachos goes along. The star is on the hood. Radio not in series, then also no operating sectors available. Tire: 16 tariff light alloy wheels.
Elegance: LED rear lights, chrome shroud of the Zierteile, leather steering wheel and shift lever, two oval final pipes one on the left of the other one right, Tacho with chrome rings, small aerodynamic spoilers on the left and on the right at the front apron; 17 " light alloy wheels
Avant-garde: LED rear lights sounded, two oval final pipes one left, the other one right, star in the radiator grille, set lower, 17 " rims, outside chrome and in the interior also the shrouds, as well as the Tacho as with Elegance.
The outside mirrors some little like sail ears are away, fulfill new law guidelines. The mirror turn signals became also larger.
New equipment: Keyless Go, Linguatronic, large panorama roof as subdivided in E-class (with the T-model the panorama roof is somewhat shorter, DVD change-over switch, Bluetooth mobile phone, Knieairbag. With Thermotronic the climatic mechanism also an operating sector in the rear has.
Comand: Be under a cover, if one presses a small button on the cover drives these upward/in the back away and the screen folds out. At a switch at the screen one can stop still the inclination of the screen, which air conditioning system served over the completely normal switches. If the Comand screen is away-folded can one still completely normally radio and CD hear and this over the buttons in the center console serve. Otherwise the operation of the Comand and the menu are identical to that the S-class.
Seat heating and Heckfensterrollo are steered completely normally via a switch panel over the air conditioning system.
The T-model starts in the autumn. C 63 AMG with approx. 450 HP is pointed to the IAA 07 and delivered starting from first quarter 2008. Also a Black Series model is angedacht.

Yikes. The 2008 C Class is beginning to sound "expensive". I figured the retail would be similar to the 2007 models, but with all these new features, could this thing cost a couple grand less then a low-end E class?

Not very nice looking, at least from the spy photos. I see they went with the panorama roof for the sedans. Maybe they'll have better luck with them than they had with the coupes.

I will have to see it in person before I panic, but I do see that the exhaust looks about the same as on the 05-06...

I have no idea when producton of the W203's will end. There is no production problem on the line since they already product several different models on the same line at the same time.

yeah i don't like the flat lines..specially the fact that the hood is so flat, it looks more classy than sporty...but like mentioned before i would have to see it in person..

Is that full scale production, or "test pressings" to proof the build engineering?
Many times several hundred units are made for evaluation to fine tune the quality and assembly process. It also lets suppliers check their JIT (just in time) delivery logistics.
The cars may have some features not planned for full production, and are usually sold quietly.

Certainly doesn't look as good as the outgoing model at the moment. Perhaps one with an 'AMG Kit' might considerably enhance the appearance; but then again, manufactures tend to introduce those ones with body kits at the end of the production of that series. Mhmm...

I don't believe that the tail lights will look like those in the pilot plant production version. The upper part of the tail light should come up to the top, not cut off as shown. It's possible that since those cars will be on the road they want to hold something back for the final version.

Did anyone notice when you click on the picture of the back of the car there are huge rear head restraints? If Mercedes got rid of the retractable head restraint feature I will be really pissed off.

One reason I have never considered a BMW is that they do not have retractable rear headrests. I like the best possible rear view. If MB has eliminated the retractible headrests I may re-think my car choices.
