Hello all, hoping someone can shed some light. Past couple weeks ive had a central locking problem with front driver door.. reading up on it i assume its the actuator giving problems.. it didnt annoy me as i rarely locked the car, however yesterday i was away and locked the door by just reaching in and pushing the wee lock pin down.. however when on return my partner in passenger seat reached over to open the door and the inner handle broke and now the door wont open from the outside.. the lock pin seems to be jammed now aswell. How can i get the door open so i can repair what is broke?

Have you tried to open the door using the key from there outside? I'm talking the actual key that comes out of the key fob.

Yea, it enters the hole and then it is meet with resistance, not sure if its the wrong key for the barrel etc but dosnt push in more then a few mm

Can’t you pull the pin up with a pair of pliers? For me, I would replace that door lock actuator with the universal one. The inner door handle replacement is also a DIY job. Been there, done that

How did the door handle break? Did the handle itself break, or is it the cable that broke?

Maybe try needle nose vise grips on the door lock pin, see if it can be pulled up.

Have you tried inserting the physical key into the door lock while manipulating the outer door handle, maybe it can be wiggled into position?

Does the key fob not lock/unlock the drivers side door? Is there any noise when pressing the lock/unlock?
