I forgot how high mine sits so went out and measured again. Im on gravel so its not very level. From the ground to the wheel well is around 25". Sits more or less level, rear is maybe 1/4"-1/2" higher. Mine has the Mercedes Sports front struts, rear Sports shocks and Sports springs. The rear springs have the 9mm upper shims. I installed everything myself so I know whats in there.
I think it sits perfect. I see Luxury models and they look jacked up in my opinion. I was looking thru threads on lowering springs and I couldnt believe people wanted it lower, until i saw there photos and they didnt have the sports suspension so yes, those models do sit high and I would want lower springs.
When I replaced the rear shocks to swap out the old worn ones I was playing around and it looks like they only move 3" up and down.
From the close-up photo the front does appear to be sitting lower than mine, it reminds me of what mine looked like when I had a front spring break while it was parked in the driveway. I heard a very loud noise that caught my attention then the next morning I noticed it was sitting lower on the drivers side. The very bottom 2-3" had snapped right off but luckily it was still supported on the strut. Thats when I replaced both front struts, bought a used set and put those in.
I would jack up the front end and remove the wheel for a better look at everything. Maybe someone replaced them with aftermarket. Mercedes original springs will have 3 painted dots on them, should be able to see the dots looking in the wheel well, probably not like its sitting now but if you jack up the front end they should become visible. If the struts are leaking im not sure the car will sit lower when parked, but you may feel like its bottoming out or bouncy going over bumps. Inspect the bottom of the struts for any signs of oil.
