Hello. I have a s204 c200d 2008 with a 5g tronic transmission. I bought a rebuild kit for the transmission as i wanted to do some maintenance work on it. The transmission didn't have any issues before. The kit came with a new conductor plate as well. I replaced it, put everything back together, 6 liters of fresh atf and then i cranked the engine. The gear selector from the dash shows the correct positions (car cannot move while in P). The problem is that the car doesn't move at all when I put it in D or R. If i try to accelerate while moving the gear selector, the rpms drop to idle. The rpms also move a little while moving through the gears. Why doesn't the car move at all? Did i install anything wrong? Is there a chance i did not install the valves correctly? I did not mix their positions. Does the new conductor plate need programming? Is there any procedure i forgot to do? Thank you all!

 

Conductor plate is coded by VIN. You would have to use your old one or have it coded.
