My driver's side door handle has stopped working with the keyless go system. I easily removed the lock cylinder side and slid the handle out to expose the wiring. I couldn't get the plug on the forward side of the handle to disengage. I grabbed it with some needlenose and wiggled it around with a hit of pulling force but feared I might damage something and put it all back together.
My idea was to swap the front and rear handles and see which door the problem followed. Additionally, does anyone know if I can test the plug pins with a multimeter and what values I'm looking for? - assuming I can get the damn thing unplugged
904 is part# 2105402181. When I look at photos of it im thinking use a screwdriver to lift up the plastic tab (red arrow) on the side with the Mercedes symbol. Im just guessing.
Or try and press down (red circle) while trying to pull apart the connector.
I swapped the handles front and rear and now the front door works and the rear door doesn't so it's definitely a dead handle. I carefully examined the wiring and it looked in good shape.
Has anyone explored/replaced fhe capacitive touch innards of these or am I relegated to a lucky ebay colour matched find? I did measure the resistance of the non working handle at the plug and I believe it was 56µΩ. Didn't seem to change the reading if I touched the lock/unlock sensors on the bench.
