Water leak in trunk
I noticed moisture in left part of the trunk, when you remove protection to hidden left part trunk storage (this is just above the wheel arch but inside the trunk).
There is thick material for noise reduction and it was wet.
I have two suspects. First is ventilation lid part on image:
Second suspect is the light rubber gasket that got old and started to leak:

- How do you remove this plastic ventilation from the car? Can someone check if my original part A2048300342 was replaced with this one A2128300242? This is what I find in manual: https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/?vin=...45&language=en
- I am thinking to replace both things. Could it be some other reason?
- Should I do this preventive maintenance also on right side? it is OK (for now).
- Should you use also some additional sealant (Reinzosil) on this rubber and trunk ventilation?

Look into the trim pins, which is high on the fender and trunk lip, as they could be leaking down and causing false positives. My '08 had the same leak, and it was coming from the taillight gasket and the trim pins.
