Oil change

I have a 2011 Mercedes C300 4matic sport
what type of oil and how much quarts ? What oil filter ?
Watch some youtube videos.
Check out this site, plug in your car info and it will show you what type of oil filter you need. As far as the oil goes, once you know what type of oil, you can get it from Walmart or local auto parts supply store.
You will need some tools but youtube is a great source for all the basic info you need.

Im assuming you have the M272 engine? You can use whatever you want, ill just list what I use.
I use Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 because its on the list of MB approved oil and because its inexpensive locally at Walmart. Looks like yours take around 7.4 quarts. I would just buy two 5 quarts jugs.
If you dont have an oil extractor to suck out the old oil from the dipstick then just go under the car and remove and drain from the drain plug. if you drain from under the car you will have to remove the middle section of plastic shields, 8mm socket to remove a few small bolts. If you remove the drain plug you will need a new washer, part# 007603014106. Its just a 14mmx20mmx1.5mm copper washer. I always have a few on hand, they are cheap at places like FCP, add a few to your orders.
Oil drain plug = 22nm.
if you have the M272 heres the oil filter. I use Mann. Comes with all the replacement o-rings, even one left over you can use on the dipstick tube. Just unscrew the oil filter cap, let the filter drain a bit then remove the entire assembly. Pull off the fiklter, replace the o-rings and put it back in. I just crank the cap back by hand, can use an oil filter wrench if you want.

Make sure the O rings go back in exactly the same spot on the oil filter holder (take a photo before removing them to be sure). The larger one in particular which sits on a large groove about half an inch from the end of the thread or you'll very quickly has a big mess to clean up on startup.
Mann filters are IMO the best out there and are MB OE.
Make sure whatever oil you use meets with the MB Spec No..ie. MB Spec 236.3 or whatever it is and as noted in your manual.
Don't overtighten the sump plug (I think its 25Nm)
Always change the crush washer on the sump plug. It helps it remain tight.
Buy yourself a funnel to pour in the oil and a big enough drain pan.
Good luck
