Have your battery and your alternator tested. Around here any large auto parts store will test them for free.
Or, if you have a multimeter check the voltage of the battery, turn the headlights on for a few seconds then shut them off, then check the voltage. See what it shows. Then have someone start the car while the multimeter is still hooked to the battery and see what the voltage reads.
