C350 Spark Plugs

I'm replacing the spark plugs on my 2013 C350 Sport for the second time. The last time I did this I put in Bosch ZR6SII3320. They worked fine. This time I purchased NGK SILZFR8G7S. When I took out the Bosch plugs, I saw that the end of the Bosch plugs was different than the NGK's. I double checked Pelican Parts, and the listing for each plug says, "This part fits your 2013 Mercedes-Benz C350 Sport Sedan." When I put the cap on either plug, the plug just slips out because of the compressed air sealed in by the grease. How can I tell which plug is made for my car?

I would go with the Bosch style plug, requiring the 12-point socket and the traditional top end.

By the way, my C350 Sport has flex fuel equipment and the NGK plug you got is supposed to be for flex fuel cars. HOWEVER, the part number for my car in the EPC based on its VIN is 0041598103 and not the other one specified for ethanol fuel. I don't often run E85 in my car because the reduction in gas mileage is more significant than the cost savings. But when I did, I never had any problems.

Thanks for your responses. I will contact Pelican Parts and see what they say. Pelican lists the spark plugs as "Spark Plug - NGK SILZKFR8G-7S - Bosch EVO 96347." Are they NGK or Bosch? Very odd.

I did a Google search for spark plug terminal studs and scrolled through lots of pictures. None had the type of stud that is on the NGK's. I was alerted to the possibility that the NGK's were the correct plug when for some reason I put a boot on one of the Bosch plugs and it didn't snap on. All other spark plugs I've seen hold on to the plug with a spring clip. Looking into the boot, there is a metal cup with a hole in it that appears to be about the same shape and size to fit the NGK stud. I wish I knew what the factory plugs looked like.

Of course, I could get a set of plugs from the dealership. Oh yeah, I remember why I didn't. The want $35.00 EACH!

I have used the ngk style plug before it worked the same as the factory plugs.
It's only popping off cuz of the air and grease let the air out and the boy will stay put.

The reach is different between the two. Not sure how much it matters.

The NGK plugs look like the ones for my SL400 with the M276 3.0L engine. They are NOT the same, but they look the same with the strange tip.
