New issue

I have tried every extractor for bolts, drilling, rounding. Nothing, these will just not come out, any other ides? The whole is deep which makes most things I've done difficult, and these are cylinder head bolts that are still unlocked, for a M276 engine, last resort is buying a stick welder and welding it to something but before I do that any other ideas? These don't have the wholes drilled in but nothing different

This is a rather unconventional way of doing it, but it worked for me years ago and is cheap. Downsize the size of the bolt by one and grab that socket, make sure it’s one you don’t care about or is a cheap one you don’t mind not using again. Put it on an extension piece, put a little metal jb weld in the socket, and then hammer the socket on there nice and tight. Wait a day, hopefully it bonded good enough to break it loose.

I’ve never seen anyone do it before I tried it, but it worked on some severely rusted seatbelt mount bolts in my old truck.

Edit: Make sure it’s a 12 point socket too, not a 6 or the socket most likely won’t even hammer on.

That is standard procedure for bolts and nuts working shipboard where everything is rusted solid. We carried boxes full of cheap long sockets just for this reason. We used SteelStick because it set in 5 minutes.

Learn something new every day! I’ll keep the steel stick you mentioned in mind for next time as well.

SteelStick is made by the makers of JBWeld. Get it at the same places.
