Infotainment system help?!

So I have a pre-facelift 2011 c300 and it currently has an aftermarket head unit in it and I’m trying to go back to stock. I have the stock head unit and 7 inch screen and had replaced it with an alpine head unit. I want to go back to stock. I have everything installed, but now the screen will not fold open and with the key out of the car if I push the on button on the Stock head unit the radio turns on. I don’t know what I’ve done and I need help. can anybody tell me, on the back of the head unit there is a blue connector and a small black connector. Should all of these connectors have connections? I’m going to visit the junkyard today and see if there’s one there that I can look at the connections on.

I never cut into any of the wires or wiring harnesses but now it’s acting so weird

The reason for doing all this is because I’m planning on going with one of the android head units. I’m not sure what needs to be working to install an android head unit in the car does only the lower head unit need to work or does the upper need to work as well?

Are you re-installing the original unit? Have you scanned for DTCs? You may need to clear any DTCs if there are any. This sounds like something to take to @BenzNinja .

By the way, generally if there are open connectors, they should have something connected to them (unless they are used for diagnostics or something like that).

I am reinstalling the head OEM head unit and I am planning on putting in one of the Android upper units as well. The radio itself works but the screen no longer folds up. There is a plug that fits into the back of the 7 inch screen and the head unit has an IDENTICAL plug in the back of it so i feel it’s safe to ASSUME. That there should be at least that plug somewhere in the hell hole behind the head unit but i can not find it anywhere. There is also a blue socket in the back of the head unit as well. Now I don’t have the HK or anything like that so I wasn’t sure if that could be where the amp would plug in

UPDATE:
After some intensive research online and watching a number of removal videos, I found that these 2 connections are not used. FURTHERMORE, the display not opening…..

always check the fuses. 7.5 amp fuse blown.

This is when ya feel really stupid for not doing it in the first place. SMDH
