Hey y’all, I’m replacing the intake manifold on my Mercedes W204. I’ve already removed the old one, but does anyone have recommendations for other parts I should replace while everything is apart?
Off the top of my head I would probably replace the crankcase breather hose while you have easy access. I want to replace mine, seems a few things have to come off.
I would inspect all the various large gaskets at the MAF and throttle body, may benefit from replacing while everything is apart.
Dont the fuel injectors have to come off, or the fuel rail? New o-rings for them obviously.
Everything else clean up so it looks new. I love cleaning.

The O-rings I'm replaced because the manifold replacement I'm thinking of getting is from FCEuro and the replacement comes with the O-rings.
What's a good liquid to clean it? This is the first time I work on my Mercedes.
I typically just use a damp microfiber towel. If the part is oily fill a spray bottle with water and add a small amount of dish soap. Toothbrush works good for scrubbing things.
As a last step ill use Mothers VLR spray. I wipe everything with it, gaskets, trim, hoses, plastic. Spray it on a microfiber towel then wipe everything with it.
