2013 Front Side Marker options

So one of the issues with the 2013 I bought is someone in a parking lot rubbed their tire perfectly on the right front side marker. And there is a layer of rubber on it now and the bulb is out.

I looked up how to replace the bulb and even pull the whole thing. Hopefully its just the bulb is out and not something else.

But without scouring ebay what are my options to replace the marker? Does anyone think it is possible to get the rubber off ir should i just replace it?

I'd try rubbing it off with a damp towel and a little dish soap. Should come off with some effort.

Bulb is a 2825 I believe. Should be able to reach behind by removing a few wheel well liner fasteners. Though I never did it.

Thanks, I will give that a try. I just watched a video on how to replace the bulb.

I noticed thst it looks like somekne else already tried to look at it from the inside. There are two of the Trump panel pins missing. Any thoughts on where I can get the correct ones other than a dealer? I've spent hours in the parts store in the past looking for the correct ones for other cars LOL.

Here is a Pic of the light

I replaced mine with blacked out ones from AliExpress. They are not that hard to change at all.
As a matter of fact if yours are the same as the ones in this add then I have my old ones still I'm pretty sure. I will donate the one you need if the rubber won't come off yours. Just let me know and I'll mail it to ya.

I just found this on AliExpress: $25.98 | Smoked LED Fender Side Marker Front Bumper Indicator Light For Mercedes Benz C-Class W204 C250 C300 C350 C63 AMG 2012-2014

As for the plastic push in pins you can get large assortment of those in a plastic case for cheap.
Again check AliExpress or Amazon.
The pliers that pop out the pins are very valuable for removing the pins.

Thanks and thatnis an awesome offer. I might take you up on it but i am going to look at some of the smoked ones too. Idk, I feel like the amber ones are just completely out of place with the rest of the car.

I believe the right light is part# 2049067401. Can find inexpensive aftermarket sets on ebay, or Genuine at the dealer for around $30/each. Up to you.

What pins, the wheel well? I have a 2010 so not sure if they are the same, should be. I bought a bunch of fasteners from AliExpress when I was doing work where I had to remove all the wheel well liners. There are plastic pins and also a few plastic nuts.

- Push Pin part# 1249900492
- Nuts (10mm) 2019900050

I bought a clay towel to remove stuff off the paint. I originally bought a fine grade and it took forever to get the paint smooth, bought a medium grade and it works great. Usually use it once a year after winter as im detailing the car. May take that rubber off. I just use it like I do my sponge, dunk it in a bucket of car wash and wipe down the car. It strips all sealants and waxes off so have to apply a wax afterwards.

totally up to you if you want to replace just the bulb or the whole side marker light/housing. I replaced the stock amber housing for a smoked lens with LED- $33 USD off of amazon. Because mine were faded and I wanted to upgrade to LED as I like the look better.

you can definitely get the rubber off as others suggested. (If it were me) I’d replace the whole housing with LED as that is my first preference.

I am going to try one like that i found on, only not smoked, just clear lenses with white light. Fairy cheap and if i change my mind to smoked not expensive to do.

I just worry about the quality. Seems like every body selling a buncj od the smae 2 or 3 makes. Same with trying to find a front license plate frame LoL. Like every body on eBay selling the same thing but looks cheap.

Been a long time since I have been in the molding department. Dont know what is cheaply made or not. Not really looking to do much but this needs to be addressed. And those orange markers are just hideous.

Genuine MB parts are much better quality in my opinion. Thats why id rather buy used MB parts instead of new aftermarket parts most of the time. I just bought a used MB spring control arm to replace mine that is rusting pretty bad. A new one is around $100 and was able to find a used one that looks to be in very good condition for $33 shipped.

One of my fog lights had a crack in the glass lens so I bought an inexpensive aftermarket one off ebay which does have a glass lens but now its yellowing. The other original fog light still looks clear, though heavily pitted with rock chips.

For the side marker lights im pretty sure in my state the front has to be amber I have to have my car inspected yearly so not sure it would pass if it wasnt amber.

Couldn't agree more, the orange marker lights are hideous.

However, this is the 2nd set I've purchased of the LED side marker lights and quality is good for the price. One for my W204 C300 and now this set for my W204 C250.

looks much better than the halogen with the orange lens in my honest opinion. Also, if you're concerned about passing inspection, you can get an amber LED color light so go with that option if you're concerned.

I wouldn't hesitate to purchase aftermarket lighting that have good reviews. As I stated, this is my second set of LED side markers and I have aftermarket projector headlights. It is a gamble but everything works and quality is there for the price.

There are some things that I like to buy genuine OEM, sensors, mechanical, suspension parts.. lighting doesn't always have to be OEM.

to each their own!
