Is this sound normal when starting the car?
Hello guys so about a month or two ago I bought a c230 2008 m272 v6 as my first car but i noticed sometimes when i start the car this sound. I’ve been told that its normal because it takes time for oil to build up but is it really that or it is a problem?

I’ve had that very sound on a warm (not cold, not hot) start since the car was new. Now 253k on the clock. I just call it character. Levity aside, my guess is partially collapsed lifters.

This vehicle is now on daily commute duty. So if it fails on me, I'll be sure to post that here.
I tried getting the dealer to recognize it, even kept it overnight but was returned to me as "cannot reproduce customer concern".
