w204 clock/time issue
I'm having an issue with my mercs instrument cluster clock. Every time after ~3-8hrs the ignition/car is turned off, the time and date on the instrument cluster keeps resetting and I can't find the solution for this issue. All the fuses are good, the battery is new, no errors/faults on the instrument cluster's display and every function on the cluster works well, except the clock and date keeps resetting each time, except if I turn on the ignition/car after ~2-3hrs. Has anyone had a similar experience with this problem and found a solution?
The car is 2007 w204, with the 4 button steering wheel, audio20 with this kind of instrument cluster shown in the picture:

What about the radio stations, are those kept or do those also get reset?
What about the heat settings. On my 2010 whenever I turn the climate control on it is set to my last setting.
In your instrument cluster is there an option for showing mpgs, what about distance traveled from last reset?
Anything else besides the Time and date?
After the car has been off for 6hrs it enters sleep mode.
Mileage (total), 0- 1000 and mpg also are kept. The only setting keeps resetting is clock and date. The date rolls back to year 2000 and the time goes to 00:00.
Every other functions/extras of the car work :/

Also, I removed the instrument cluster and gave to an electric. He checked it and everything seems fine, no visible issues were seen there. Also, checked the instrument cluster plug and voltage on pins, no issues there either, nothing unusual, but still the time keeps resetting after few hours. I keep wondering what is causing the clock to reset? The time is reset even when the car is just unlocked, without turning on the ignition.
One more thing I noticed is that while the instrument cluster was removed, the time on the audio20 screen (in the left top corner) also was gone but went back once the instrument cluster was put back.
