W204 C250 Sport (AMG Package with Pano Roof)
Roar Pedal - Bluetooth enabled throttle tuner

This weekend I fitted a Roar Pedal (RP) throttle tuner to my W204 C250. My previous car had a Burger Motor Sports device that worked well, but the RP version has Bluetooth capability and an associated app to control the settings, so no control panel to locate and control panel wire to hide.

Fitting the unit
Super simple. Just unbolt the pedal from the floor, and connect the RP plugs. The connectors cannot be fitted incorrectly. There is no long wire to route and all there is to mount is the Bluetooth module. I found that this module sits happily behind the pedal.

Calibration
Once connected, turn the ignition on and open the RP app. The app will connect automatically to the pedal and will display the current configuration. The tuner needs to learn min and max throttle, and there is a button that guides how to establish and learn those values.

Settings
As with any pedal tuner, less is more. I found the best blend of driveability and response is the "Sport" setting with a fine tuning setting of 4 (see photo). Set this way dramatically improves subjective performance, and sharpens up transmission downshifts.
It makes the car feel much more responsive and greatly improves the driving experience.

Conclusion
Such a device does not add power, but the way a car feels is important and feelings are subjective by nature. Throttle pedal tuners enable one to tailor the subjective way that your car performs. I thoroughly recommend adding a pedal tuner, and the Roar Pedal adds modern BT functionality that simplifies use and installation.

I have the Pedal Commander on mine. I agree it helps with the super lethargic pedal curve that came with the car.

Oh this is cool. I've only had mine for a few days but there does seem to be a slightly muted feel in response to hitting the gas pedal. Not a problem as I drive pretty slow but I did notice it. Might have to try this in the future.
