Broken Inside Door Handle
So, yesterday I go to open the door of my C350 to get out and I heard this snap. The handle just flopped around. I had to lower the window and reach outside to open the door. Once open, be sure to roll the window back up before closing the door.

Apparently, this is a common problem with the W204 (and maybe others) because the handle is plastic.



There are lots of YouTube videos on how to remove the inside door card (panel) and replace the handle. I found one on Amazon for $15.99 that is all metal and much stronger.

It’s not terribly hard. I would say easy to medium difficulty. You do need to follow the procedures in the video and not try to take shortcuts.

I whipped the door panel off to replace a window switch. Really easy job.
