This is a silly question I think, but I had to ask.
My headlight was smashed and is all broken up. I have an appointment to get it fixed in a little over a week.
The car is c300 2011 (w204)
Is it bad to drive the car until the repair? Clearly not at night if can be avoided. Should i cover it with plastic and tape until the appointment? Or just leave uncovered and in garage until appointment day?
I'm more worried about damage to the car or wiring connected to the light, then the fact that broken headlight can get me pulled over.

Smashed headlight. The little orange light to the right was lit while driving home after the damage. The other headlight, for reference on how it should look.
