New C Coupe?

The coupe always launches about a year after the sedan, just like the S-Class coupe just did. Look for it to debut next year and go on sale as a 2016 model here in the U.S.

If I remember correctly, the current C Coupe only started in MY2012. If a new one is coming in MY2016, the w204 coupe is quite short-lived.
My w209 is getting old and I will need a new car in maybe 2 years. I myself am hoping for a new C Coupe, in the same design approach of the new C sedan.

I searched and did not find any info on a new C coupe.
This would mean that w204 coupe lasts for only 4 model years (2012-2015). Is this right?
I guess we have to wait for something official from MB.

A new C Coupe will ultimately arrive. It might be called the CLK. Benz is not clear on this at present. They want to bring back the CLK name. Hope it remains pillarless.

Why would they bring back the CLK and keep the E-coupe.

The CLK & the present E Class Coupe are built on modified C Class platforms W203 & W204.
Going forward it seems the E Class Coupe will be a real E Class based vehicle & CLK will return.
Under this regime it makes no sense to have a C Coupe & a CLK but who knows?

Benz maintains they have brand equity in the CLK name.

As with everything else, they're competing with BMW. This time, it's the prize for dumbest model naming logic. Though BMW's head start may be hard to overcome, the c coupe/CLK/E-coupe possibilities may give MB a chance.
