I can't believe I haven't seen this earlier! It may answer a lot of questions for some people.

I never knew there was a "kickplate activated boot opener". I've never seen this as standard or optional in all the info i've read thus far

Yes it's part of the "Hands-Free Access (only i. c. w. Premium Package) $250"

Found interesting info on the Burmester in there. So it is full surround, "The Burmester® surround sound system has a total output of 590 watts and is equipped with 13 loudspeakers" and it does have modes for different seats. Unfortunately I was hoping they would have a mode for just drivers seat but at least they have a front seat mode. I'm use to time delay on all my after market systems and would definitely miss this in this car. So far not too bad from what I can tell. But we'll see once I hear it.

In fact from what I can tell it is the exact same one that is in the S Class, obviously not the $6400 option but the base Burmester. I had wondered if it would be a stripped down version but doesnt seem so.

http://www.benzreport.com/burmester-2/

Speaker
Tweeter units - 4
Midrange units - 7
Frontbass - 2
Total
13

Worst case I add a sub, but we'll see. My friends Jeep SRT had a monster sound system and the bass was pretty solid. BUt coming from Focal and Alpine subs I am an audiophile.

as an audiophile can you tell me how this would compare to my current stock BOSE sound system

as long as its an improvement im very happy. a MAJOR improvement would be icing on the cake

I highly doubt outdoing a Bose system would be hard. Never been a fan. (no highs no lows must be bose)

The manual talks about a "collapsible emergency spare wheel". So now we know what kind of spare wheel can fit under the trunk floor.
