2 problems....no msrp yet, and being a brand new model, no "deals" per-se.

it's hard to say. let's assume a feature rich c400 would run in the the "close-to-55,000" range, which isn't hard to do, even with the current c350.

$400? $500?

i've been scouring the internet to find an msrp for the US version. it's price just isn't ready yet. all the option pricing is clear, but the base c400 is the biggest mystery. the c300 will be a few grand more than the c250, probably around 39000, or even 40000. BUT, the c400, with the standard packages it includes, PLUS the nice little engine it has.....who knows?

45000?? 46000? it's so hard to tell right now.

tricky thing here: a c400 vs an e350. there's gotta be a price gap of some sort here. but, the c400 has a twin turbo v6, and the e350 has a 'normal' v6, so the gap may not be very much. very clever pricing opportunities for mb IMO.

If it's around 45-46K, you'll probably be looking at $550-600 month.

this worries me a lot. the build i want had around 8k worth of options. it was almost fully loaded. theres no way itll be costing 45-46k. that would probably be the cost of the car WITHOUT any options. add the options and other fees and you are looking at the mid 50 range.

if mid 40's is 600 a month then mid 50s would be over 700 a month? im afraid thats a bit too pricey. its a beautiful car but 700+ for a C class is outrageous. might as well go for a slightly older cls, or other high range model. i may have to cancel my deposit.

that's what i was saying basically...the base price alone would be 45-46. you might want to look at a 55ish priced e class or something on the mb website and use the payment calculator to get a very rough idea of what a lease would cost. it may at least give you an idea of what's possible.

I just spec'd out a c class (w204, 2014) on the mb website, final price was 54,600. with $5460 down, 36 month, 12000 miles/year, the price was $600 a month.

I think that's a decent estimate, give or take $50. BUT, the 2015 is a brand new model, let alone a total redesign, and mercedes might not budge on deals if it's in high demand. We won't know until it's released and sales numbers hit after a month or two i'm afraid.

Just look at the CLA...not my cup of tea, but hard to find in a lot of places. The "deals" aren't that great from what I've seen.

this is not good news. i was hoping to pay a maximum payment of around 600 for my brand new C in september. i may have to cancel the order if its too much more than that.

Do you need a "fully loaded" C400? You could take off about $6000 in options and still have a sweet ride. It's either that, or wait a couple of years for a CPO to pop up with the config you want. The 400 has nice standard features (like the P1 package AND the sport package). That alone is $5200 worth of options already included in the "base" price (as well as the 2 most popular I bet).

things like the drive assist package can be skipped, but the pano roof ($1500), mutlimedia package, 19 inch wheels, amg package ($2500), HUD ($1000) and lighting package ($750) are all absolute necessities. the only thing id be willing to budge on are small things like air balance and eletric roller blind, both of which dont cost much to begin with. the only major thing im leaving out is the driver assist package. all those other features i listed are absolutely necessary and i wouldnt get the car without them.

Since MSRP/discount/residual/MF (money factor) are all unknown at this point, let's make the following assumptions:

Base MSRP (Incl. Dest.) - $47,000 (For reference 335xi - $46,325, S4 - $48,100)
MSRP - $50,000 (modestly equipped w/ $3K in options)
Discounts - $0 (brand new redesign, supply/demand)
Residual - 0.62 or 62% (for 3-yr, 12K mi/yr term)
MF - 0.00125 (equivalent to 3% APR)

Using the above, your monthly payment w/ no money down (except for inception fees) would be $629 + your State tax.

Each $1000 increase in MSRP will increase the (pre-tax) monthly payment by ~$12.5. In another words, each $1000 in discounts will decrease the (pre-tax) monthly payment by ~$12.5.

so if the car is around 55k i should be expecting to pay 700 a month?

Assuming no discounts available and you don't live in a tax free state, then yes.

does that sound normal to you for a c class? considering that its brand new, first model year, and almost fully loaded.

is this a fair price for the 2015 c?

Mercedes is moving this class upward now that the cla is at the "bottom". I think they're just going to be more expensive in general, so this price isn't unheard of IMO.

Your MF is too low. Standard rate with autopay is .00185...many dealers mark this up as well. I do not see the MF being below .00165 - .00175 to start... brand new car.

I did say those numbers were "assumptions" didn't I?

I'd never lease from anybody who marks up the MF. Plenty of dealers to shop around.

Anyways, each 0.0001 increase in MF results in approx. $8 more in (pre-tax) monthly payment. So if it's 0.00175 instead of 0.00125, you are looking at $40 more ($1440 over the 36-mo term). MSD will help drop the MF down if it's getting out of hand.

Standard rate is actually .00225, auto pay brings it down .00010

Super tier MF is .00195

Wow, I never realized that the cost of money for Merc's was that high! This explains a lot on why there are so many BMWs driving around with their inflated residuals and .00130 MFs.

However, it looks like you can get a 2014 C300 4matic for $299/mo - or $30/mo LESS than an almost $10,000 less expensive CLA250 ($500 more down and fewer miles, but still!)
