my new C
been crazy busy lately so haven't really had time to come on the forum, thanks for all the comments and compliments.
I really do enjoy driving her, nearly reaching 1500km on the clock, took her for a wash today and took some quick random photos of her.
Also picked up a key ring to go with the keys.

Just got my C200/AMG, some pics

I was wondering what you think of the C200 petrol engine? All the journalist and owners reviews I've seen have been of diesel engined W205 C Classes. I find the diesel engines fitted to the C Class, BMW 3 and Audi A4 out of keeping with their executive pretensions and, as I’m now only doing less than 10,000 miles per annum, the difference between the combined 53.3 mpg claimed for the petrol C200 and the mpg claimed for the diesel alternatives wouldn’t be a major consideration for me.
I’m especially interested in your comments because I’ve just escaped from hospital after major surgery and it’ll probably be a couple of months before I’ve recovered sufficiently to take a test drive with a view to placing an order for a new C Class.
Many thanks, Roger
Many thanks, Roger
If the car is on a downhill/uphill, then I prefer to:
1) set the car in Neutral
2) engage handbrake
3) lift foot of brake
4) if the car is holding, set the gear to Park.
Other way around when driving off again. Otherwise one hears a huge "clunk" or "bang" when the gear goes out of park.

Many thanks for the info, it's great to know there's no issue with going into and out of park.
More generally do you find the C200 engine quiet and smooth? Also are the automatic gearbox changes smooth, reasonably quick and sensibly timed with regard to speed, acceleration, etc?
Once again many thanks for sharing your views with us
