it seems like dealerS want to give away 2016 c450. haha
tried to cancel with dealer1 that gave me 3578$ off msrp, now they want to match dealer3 and give me 8000$ off msrp and want me to cancel dealer3 order.

i wont do it unless dealer1 give me more money (maybe).

finally got my 1000$ check deposit back from dealer 1.
that was painful. first, they told me they will match dealer3 offer, then say the car is being build, too late to cancel. then saying it needs 2-3 weeks to process my refund. I have to scream and yell to make them write me a check. haha
if they serious about wanting my business, should offer me 8000$ off up front like dealer3. instead they treating me like a fool and want to give me the least discount as possible.

I'll put $5 on the table that says you get screwed by dealer 3 just like you tried to screw dealer 1.

Was this a good deal? Picked this up the other day

2016 C300W Sport Package
MSRP: 48,015 + 975 (3yr maintenance package)
12k per year lease; 36 months
Selling Price: 40,599 (~15% off)
4k down
425 tax included
Money Factor: 0.00183…..

I feel like I got a good deal % off MSRP wise but got owned on the rent/finance charge. Any thoughts?

2016 C300 4MATIC
This is what I ended up with:

2016 C300 4MATIC - 36m/10k lease
MSRP - $47640 (Lunar Blue/Silk Beige, Premium P1 package, Blind spot assist, Burl Walnut Wood Trim, Panorama Sunroof, Heated Front Seats, Rear Trunk Lid Spoiler, Rear View Camera, Garmin SD)
Selling Price - $40100
Residual (64%) - $30489.6
MF (after putting down 10 MSDs) - 0.00084

Deposit (10 payments) = $4000
Down payment - $2053 (includes 1st month payment, $160 registration fee, $350 doc fee, lease acquisition fee, etc)
Monthly payment (including 6.25% sales tax) - $347

How is this deal?

Money Factor: 0.00183….. (4.4% interest) Is this MF quite high? I had to back calculate this figure after signing the lease contract.. totally forgot this variable and to ask the dealer about what they were charging me. Forgot to ask about the AutoPay .0001 discount as well.

If they gave you the $7k off MSRP and didn't then turn around and take it back in interest and fees you did okay. Plug the numbers into this spreadsheet and see how you did. The current money factor from MB Financial is .00152 presuming the credit is good.

Got your PM but I can't attach a file to the reply. So do you plan on paying the upfront fees ($2053) at signing, or doing a sign and drive where those fees and the first months payment are financed in with the car?

The MF looks low (2% APR) but it's a great rate if it's the actual rate. Why the heavy deposit? Trying to knock the monthly payment down or did the dealership tell you they needed 10 months payment as a deposit (which is complete bull****).

Here's the spreadsheet. I think the monthly payment should be $301 if I'm understanding you correctly.

- The deposits are Multiple Security Deposits(MSD) to get the MF down. Got to know about it from BMW forums and asked MB dealers about it. It is very common for bmw buyers. I'll get that amount back at the end of the lease period. It will not be used for the payments.
- Yes, I am paying $2053 upfront.
- Attached is the updated spreadsheet which gives $347 as the monthly payment. I've not added the $4k in the calculations as it is not being used towards payments.

Okay, new to me. Does tying up $4000 in cash for three years make the 2% discount on the MF worthwhile?

The difference in MF with and without deposit was about .0005 to .0006.
Difference of .0005 adds about $40 to the monthly payment.
Total savings = 40*36 = $1440

$1440 savings for tying up $4000 for 3 years is not bad

No, not bad. What about just putting the $4k against the note and reducing the payment. Still a better deal?

Yes that's true. I live in Rotterdam. That's about a 70 km drive to the south from Amsterdam. In the Netherlands the goverment is rich and the people don't have much in terms of luxurious goods like cars. Whereas for example Switzerland the people have more than the goverment. This distribution is also visible in the environment as you mentioned. Every public thing is taken care of in the Netherlands.

Good question.
With $4k as deposit, I am paying: (Here, MF is 0.00084)
1707 + (347*36) = $14199 including all fees and taxes.

With $4k as down payment, it will be: (Here MF is 0.00134. Also 6.25% of the 4k will be sales tax.)
1707 + 4000 + (269*36) = $15391 including all fees and taxes

So, it is still a difference of $1k. Also, if the car is totalled, then depending on when the car is totalled, you might not get back the down payment. Deposit will always be returned.

Hi all,

This is my first lease deal. Please let me know if this is a good deal on a 2016 c300.

MSRP: $53128
Sale Price: $45739 (14% off)
MF: .00152

3yr/36k
1st month down
$556

10 security deposits drops payment to $456. This is for a purchase in NJ, but the car will be registered in Philadelphia, PA.

Appreciate any help.

Just got back from a dealer.

2015 C300. 47,280 MSRP.
Dealer said discounted to 41900

36 with 10k for 550/mo. 550 walk out price.

Isn't this too much for a 15?

Same dealer different car was 46380 with 3k walk out for 478/mo.

I'm feeling like this car may be out of budget. The only options I want are the LED heads/tails and panoramic sunroof. Are these dealers close?

My friend in SoCal just leased a 15 with same options for 1k down+payment. At 410 a month. How can I get a deal like this?

For a 2015? The discount should be much better.

No one's holding a gun to your head to lease it. At this point on a 2015, the discount should be at least 13 - 14% off MSRP, maybe more. I bought a 2016 and got 13% off. I'd walk away from that deal. I would.

Oh there was no way I was buying that car after reading up on here. They wouldn't show me the costs. The problem is I'm calling other dealers and all prices are coming around 550, but when I do my calculations they should come to around 450. I don't know how to get an honest deal.

Start an online negotiation with the internet sales manager. Don't even go to the dealership until you've got a deal you think is fair. There's a thread here with a lease calculation tool. Use it to get a better understanding of the money factor and all the aspects of a lease. Be as informed as you can be.

Here's a link to that thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...tructions.html

Definitely what rbrylaw said. Tell them to send you via email the "Lease worksheet", that'll break down everything: Money factor, residual, dealer fees, acquisition/bank cost etc. Then you can work on finding out where the variances (dealer up charges) are.

Some dealers will straight up not entertain that, some will. The ones that will, they'll know we're the type that if they give us a honest deal, it'll be a quick and painless transaction. We simply come in and do the paperwork, while they work on the sales floor for their typical day to day sales. If they don't play ball, then just leave. If you aren't restricted by time, you'll eventually find the car you want at the price you want.
