did you swap for winter gears yet? My dealer in Mississauga quoted CAD2792$ tax and labour in for a set of 18" snows.
my local tire23 (a shop which i trust that has integrity) charges for around 1500 or so.
what was your number?
I ordered the 18" non staggered winter tire package from mercedes. Paid the same price that you quoted. The rims are 5 split spoke, with run flats mounted. I know I could have gone cheaper but I was unsure about getting the offset and fitting right via 3rd party. I don't have them on yet....
N
Nope those are the Originals, I have seen the Replica's they are almost identical except they are lighter in colour and will come with the silver MB badges not the blue ones..... you can get the blue ones from any MB dealer store.
But winter and salt tend to eat the caps out from my experience.
Here is my Iridium Silver C300
I got a quote for 4x18" AMG Replica Alloy Wheels with Blizzak WS80 95H XL for $1470 with MB center cap Emblems
Does that price include tire sensors? My C300 is on order with the 19"s and I had originally wanted to install winters on them but after doing research it looks like it'll cost about the same price as your 18" wheel/tire pkg. The way I look at it is that I could always sell the 18"s when I get rid of the car so it'll actually cost a bit less overall going that route.

I don't think the C Class comes with individual TPMS monitors.
The price quoted just included rims, tires, balance and installation. They also put your existing tire/rims in caddies.
The sport package gives you 19" rims and a higher speed rating on summer tires...all seasons are "ok" in snow but summers are out of the question
jbbeauso: how does your C400 ride with the 19" wheels and RFTs ? Do you find it to be harsh when driving over potholes and rough pavement or is it forgiving ?

Of course it comes with individual sensors...how else do you think the system reads the pressure of each tire? Btw, I've since been quoted $260 for all four.

In the W245 B class, it compares spin speed of wheels. No sensors.
In Sweden all cars made by Nov 2014 must have Active TPMS by law.
Every W205 we have at work has been equipped with sensors since the new C first started showing up.
I know...just saying that it IS possible to have a low pressure monitoring without actual sensors in the tires. Not nearly as accurate, and some situations (eg low pressure all around) are missed.
Would love to see more pics of your cars guys..... Especially for colour comparisons
I've ordered my C250 and am now patiently (actually, not patiently.... more like barely coping) waiting for delivery....sigh.... 30/01/15
If anyone has received the below specs that are the same as mine, please post pics so I can print it full size and put it in the garage until the real one arrives, it should keep me going for a while
Black - Non Metallic
AMG Body Styling
Red AMG Leather
19" AMG Multi Spoke Wheels
My apologies, I wasn't aware that the B class used a different setup, I was merely speaking of the C class.
Don't want to highjack this tread with TPMS stuff but here goes.....
There is an easy way to find out how your C Class is outfitted for TPMS by either wheel spin algorithm or actual monitors.
Go to the center screen, scroll down to Service, go to Tire pressure
If you see 4 individual tire pressure readings on the display you have actual sensors. On the other hand if you see a display that says something like "Tire pressure monitor set" you don't. On all my MB so far, including this W205, there are no sensors.
I have seen it in action, it even displayed the reading of the spare in the trunk
They used to be very expensive but now its like $40.00 a pop so its not a big cost if you have to add them to your winter setup.
Very good question - I really struggled w/ the choice. My previous C350 (2011) was Obsidian. I almost cancelled my order until I saw the new car in the showroom and really liked the "pure" black colour. Now I'm really glad I went with it over the Obsidian - especially after I did my first wash and detailed it - it really shines when it is detailed properly - better than the Obsidian in my opinion. (Plus I saved nearly $1,000!!)
So, a bit over a month now since you wrote the post above and I'm just curious that you are still wrapped that you got the plain black?? I have also purchased mine with plain black, but am nervous that I will not be happy with it when I receive it. It will almost kill me if I walk up to it one day and find it's been scratched ......... Black always gets the dirtiest quickest and shows up scratches easier than most other colours...... So I guess I'm hoping that you can put my mind to rest and tell me I won't regret it !!!!

Even easier, just look at the valves on the rims, rubber valves - no TPMS
Aluminium valves with silver cap - TPMS
It looks like the sports AMG external package, but without the chrome lip on the bottom of it, I guess we don't have this specific one in North America.
got damn, the w205 is beautiful! If i didn't have so many problems with my W204, i probably would have never switched over to Lexus and waited for this w205.

In Italy it is called "Executive", in England "SE" (I think).
It's a sort of basic version. Also the weels, I think are 16'. Here in Italy they come standard with the 180 and the 200. Only strange think are the LED lights. Here those packages come standard with halogen ones.
Nothing strange about it. In the Netherlands you can order different packages on the outside and the inside. It's a w205 ambition with Avantgarde package on the inside. I wanted a drive with a kind of sporty outside but didn't like the AMG package especially at the backside of the car (and when it isn't an AMG, why put AMG spoilers on a car). I've also ordered the 642 LED Intelligent Light System on my car. 16" is correct. Because of our Dutch government it makes a big difference in taxes and because I'm driving it as my company car, also financial a big difference.
