I will be first. Nice car man. White exterior color rocks. I love the thigh extensions. Finally Mercedes caught on to this. BMW and even Infiniti had the thigh extensions on their sport package cars for years.

I am trying to be good and hold off until first quarter MY15. I also want to see what the new c450 is all about.

I'm 6'4" and I'm mostly tall in the legs so it is a welcome addition.

That car looks great !
I wonder about the seats with venting. I had vented seats, in an E350 and there was lack of cushioning because of the fans. How do you feel about the seat comfort? If you check the W212 forum you will see all the discussion about the seat venting and lack of padding.
I want to order leather, and liked the venting on the E350, but don't want to sacrifice seat comfort.

It's hard to say, no pun intended, because they are the sportier seats obviously. I havent noticed any discomfort and I like a firm seat anyway. It has taken me a while to really get my drivers position where I want though since it has soooo many adjustments. The only problem I have is anyone sitting directly behind me is screwed since I am so tall. My last car had more area to open your legs up more, where as this car is more bucket like since you are in between the door and the center console more. This means I am stretched out more, and likely how I should be driving anyway. I am trying to find a setting where I can somewhat comfortably drive while giving a rear passenger more space when needed (programmed into seat memory 2 or something).

Question in regards to the ambient lighting...what zones are affected by ambient lighting? Specifically I noticed in an S class that there is lighting underneath both driver and passenger seats...is that the same. Also it appears that the rear doors also are affected...can you confirm that...thanks! I have three words for your car...BEAU-TI-FUL!!

Correct it covers around the center console, on all 4 doors as well as the foot wells of the front and back. It even has some small overheads where the booklamps are that change color too.

One thing I never knew is that on the outside all 4 handles as well as under the mirrors light up white when you unlock the car. With the led strip up front and the handles and mirrors lighting up the car looks amazing at night

Beautiful car!

Question: is the leather actually Nappa? I simply thought the leather/interior package included only the "regular" leather....

Can you post pictures with your Airmatic in different setting , i.e., comfort, sport and sport+ setting. I would like to see how much gap there is in the wheel well and the tire.

Are the ambient lights on all the time as selected in command/audio 20 or are they linked to headlights or day/night sensor? Thanks for posting

I think Nappa leather's the same stuff that's used on the steering wheel (or the leather used in Designo cars). I don't know what the technical difference btw the leathers are, but Nappa is generally *very* soft and smooth.

I'd be shocked if MB was using it as the "standard" leather on a car at this price point (esp since they're not charging that much for leather package).

I myself would prefer standard to Nappa since I assume standard will be more durable....

I've never been a big fan of white cars but, I must grudgingly admit, the W205 looks really classy in white.

Very nice looking car, and sharp interior as well.

Thank you. Did you get the summer tires with the 18 inch wheels (no cost option) or are those all season tires? What prevented you from going for 19 inches wheels ?
My built and is very similar to yours, if you don't mind sharing or pm how much you paid (before tax).

BTW, your top post said 7-spoke wheel, may be I don't know how to count but I only counted 5.

These are the all season. I really wanted the 19s but for 2 reasons I didnt. 1. I live in the city and low profiles and get beaten up by city streets, 2. I live in the northeast and while Maryland doesn't usually have crazy crazy snow we do get it enough to make summer tires nonviable.

I will have to correct the 7 spoke lol, this was from a preorder before we knew the final ordering guide.

I paid $64,700 which was list but they did throw in the maintenance package and gap insurance for free, which is kind of like getting 3% off

Very cool feature which I have only used a little. I don't have traffic too often but I can see it being very handy. I did use it the other day when it took 20 minutes to go one mile, steered and everything definitely made it easier. My girlfriend will be the happiest as she hates how close I follow in traffic and abruptly stop lol
