Picked it up yesterday...

Apologies for the crap pics haven't had time for a 'Pebble Beach' set.

Picked up my C220 Sport, met Black, Panoramic, Prem' Plus, Fineline Dark Wood, Artico.

I think it looks even better than I thought it would. I wasn't sure about the stock wheels but I don't mind them.

Very nice! I think the stock wheels look great. Nice interior with the wood trim too.

I have the Burl Walnut trim and was surprised that the grain on the console was a perfect match to the cup holder cover ... obviously cut from one continual piece.

How are you doing figuring out all the audio options? It can be a bit confusing, especially getting all your presets sorted out.

Enjoy the ride!

Very nice and elegant car!

i much prefer the minimalism of the Avantgarde packages over AMG Only opted for AMG inside, to get the seats.

Still sorting through the options to be honest.
What I'd really like is to find a way to route a iPhone cable from the USB port in the arm rest through to the centre console and to one of these docks from Fuz design. It would sit nicely in the centre console holder. I'm guessing a decent interior fitter might be able to route the cable without making a mess.

I read that Mercedes is delaying CarPlay for a year.

Probably right, but I'd still prefer easy access to a permanent, cabled dock to bluetooth.

Looking nice, congratulations! Could you write some your thoughts about diesel engine and steering wheel position?

I'm finding the engine quite smooth. Not as quiet as some but not as noisy as a feared. The stop-start is very efficient compared to a couple of others I've driven. The steering wheel position is something I worried about and you can definitely tell it's better suited to being on the left. That said it isn't wildly offset or anything. A larger person might find it more annoying as the left leg could seem crushed against the console but I don't mind it. The pickup on the 220 is nice too, not as explosive as some cars I've had but very responsive both in traffic or on the motorway. So far, so good. For context the last few cars I've owned were: Mazda2 Sport, VW Phaeton, Porsche Boxster, BMW330, AlfaSpider.
I've got a 200 mile journey on Monday so that'll give me a great chance to get to know it some more.

Hi. Just got the dealer to do it before I picked it up.
I think it looks nice and clean with just the chrome strip across the back.

Had a little play with the audio setup today.
Not convinced by the surround sound setting on music but after a fiddle and setting the fader/bias I've got it sounding very nice. Definitely on par with the Mark Levinson in the Phaeton (although the Phaeton was a quieter car) and probably better sounding than the Harman/Kardon in my BMW. The difference in sound levels, even on the same track, between Bluetooth streamed and when cabled was surprising but I need to investigate whether it's due to a combination of the iPhone's amplification and volume setting when using Bluetooth. Very happy though.
