Delayed......again (UK)
The newer Hybrid models (300/350e) built in Germany and, obviously, AMGs too.

It just seems to be their patter to keep your spirits up.
Your dealer can tell you exactly what stage the car is at - at the Docks, Shipping, at Customs etc. the status updates always seem to be a day or two in arrears.
Good luck - I hope you get your car on 10th, that is the most likely. Exciting, isn't it!
The last time we spoke he told me it would be last week September / first week in October at the latest.
Today, he sent me the following in an email ....
Just to update you. Your new car was showing to arrive mid October, it has now crept down to the 1st week. I will keep checking and will keep you updated.
I have a feeling it may creep in to September

It's good that it has crept forward, but it's the first I'd been told it was mid October.
Sounds like he is trying to make me feel good about the delay
I was told the 13th + 48hours to prep the car, we are in delivery week & it is the 13th but they have received no delivery yet so have no exact day to pick it up.
Only problem is I'm 240miles away from the dealer so need advance notice to arrange cover at work but these dealers won't exactly know when it's ready till 48hrs lol. Is that how it works will all dealers?
My W204 broke down on the M25 earlier in the week, and Mercedes Breakdown organised for my car to be taken to my local garage to be fixed (Water Pump exploded). They got me a taxi back home, and the also organised a hire car for the duration.
The hire car being the C200.
It doesn't have most of the stuff I'm going to get when I finally get hold of my C250, but now having had effectively a multi day real life test drive, I am know looking forward to getting mine even more.
Good luck on getting yours Karen538
He showed me that my new C250 is due at the docks on 28th September and expected to arrive at the dealership on 5th October.
Although he did say the now famous words... but I am still expecting it to be earlier.
He is going to contact me early September for me to start signing the required documents.
The reason behind the apparently is as follows.
About 10 days a go I got an email from them asking me to go to a VIP day, so I responded with an acceptance.
I then got a phone call from the lady dealing with that saying that the VIP wouldn't suit me as it is just for people they want to get orders from, and I already have an order in place.
She then went on to say that my salesman has had to take emergency leave, and gave me the name of the person taking over, and also said that she could see my car was arriving on 30th.
I have had no contact in the last 3 weeks from the sales department, and in the past I have had to instigate any correspondence to find out what is happening.
The least this new salesman should have done, is contact all his new temporary clients to say he was now the person to contact.
So I am now in 10 days and counting, but this time I am waiting to hear from them first.
Then when I go and collect it I will be telling their sales manager what has happened and that their post sales had better be better otherwise I will not be going back to them.
Let's see what happens
The car was due to arrive at the dock on 30th September.
Thanks to further delays it is now due to arrive at the dock on 8th October.
This means it is now not due at the dealers until 15th October, which means that I won't get it until at least 19th October.
Anyone in South of England due a car in the next two weeks, you will probably get a call telling you the same thing.
This has gone way beyond a joke and is now costing me, as my current W204 will be worth less in the P/E than it would have done in July when I originally was getting my new car. I will be telling them this very loudly.
I have now decided that this is definitely my very last Merc.
2) what does the designo interior compose of?
I get the car October 6th at 10 a.m.

It's illegal (UK) for the customer to be out of pocket when the delay fault is down to the manufacturer - (manufacturer = all the parties involved in the making of the car)
I've moved, so changed dealers, and agree that the post sale had better be miles better.
I'm on my 4th, I've had 2 SLKs (200, 350) and am currently on an 08 W204.
If your's is anything like the hire car I recently had, you'll love it
